Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge animal lover. I support SISCA, SISCA Red Dog Racer and the Humane Society. I've been a volunteer at the Human Society for awhile now and while volunteering I've been looking for the perfect kitten to adopt and I recently found the perfect match for me. I named him Button because his nose looks like a little button and because he is cute as a button too!!! I'm so glad to be able to give him a good home and make him part of our family.
I was really surprised how quick, easy and reasonable it was to adopt a pet from the Humane Society. When adopting a pet from the Humane Society included in your fees are, first vaccinations and de-worming, free vet exam, pet will be spayed or neutered, cardboard cat carrier, feline leukemia and feline aids test, dog slip lead, current year dog license, heartworm test for dogs/pups and as a bonus your pet with receive a microchip identification number. This is incase of your pet being lost or stolen. This chip is an identifier for your pet and is enrolled in a national recovery database and is one of the first steps in you possibly being reunited with your lost or stolen pet. One of the leading causes for pet injury or deaths are from being lost from their owners.
Adopting Button has not only given me great pleasure and companionship but also has provided him with a warm and loving home. That's something that really makes me feel good, a sense of pride and accomplishment. If you would like to find that perfect pet for you, I encourage you to visit the SICSA or the Human Society. If your not interested in adopting a pet but would still like to help, you can donate or find out about volunteer services at the following websites.
